Giant step forward for FSC in the coastal rainforest of British Columbia
25. February 2010
Rainforest is not only a phenomenon of the tropics. Temperate rainforests are just as valuable, interesting and sometimes threatened. British Columbia (BC) in Canada holds about a quarter of the worlds coastal temperate rainforest. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temperate_rainforest.

With the FSC certification of 846.395 ha on the Coastal mainland of BC, Coast Forest Conservation Initiative (CFCI) and BC has taken a giant step forward in sustainable forest management. See www.coastforestconservationinitiative.com.
